Sometimes we struggle to get to the phone, as we are dealing with other families. We ask that you text/ email us for a quicker reply. With that in mind, how easy was it to reach us when you needed us?

What difference did IAS support make for your situation? Whether this was the direct impact on your child, or maybe having the right information to help you make a decision, for example.

I have used IAS many times and cannot fault the support & information they give. I have always felt truly listened to, with unbiased advice/information given. If they are unable to help they have always pointed me in the right direction for who can. They go above & beyond to help families in Bolton. Thank you.
This is the only service in Bolton that I have the uttermost confidence. Faith and the highest level of service from. Cheryl is the most professional, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about young people/their families. As a long term user we as a family are truly grateful.
Very helpfull people there especially Cheryl Wyatt (They resolved issue my daughter with mental health problems against the school). For me IAS should get more powerfull for make a decision without awaiting for response from other insitution, like Council, DWP etc.
I used IAS to read through my daughter draft EHCP and they advised me to push for more hours which resulted in her getting more 1-1 hours and to change the wording on some of the arrangements as to how much time or how the strategy was going to be put in place.
It’s a vital service for parents with sen children taking this away would put pressure on send and schools who are already stretched
You was there when I needed you the most I was getting no were with the school and I felt supported and I have recommended the service to two other people
I was in a really tricky situation regarding my son who school broke down through ehcp failure with research from both myself and ias and there wording towards letters emails there help was supported well without this service parents would not be supported within these areas
The team are very informative they give you as much time as you need just lovely people
Bolton IAS team are absolutely amazing! Without their help, support and knowledge I wouldn’t have been able to secure my child with the right EHCP with the correct amount of support they receive. Cheryl and her team are extremely supportive and kind and go through every step ensuring that we understood everything and all the terminology. They guided us through every step from completing the forms for parental request to appealing the decision when it was incorrect. Without their help and support I don’t think my child would be in education right now. I have passed on their details to lots of parents who have been in a similar position to myself and didn’t know who to turn to for support. Thank you Cheryl and team for everything you have done for me and my family
Ias have got my daughter her EHCP because if it wasn't for the brilliant staff and their help with filling the forms out we would still be filling it now because them forms aren't easy to do for any parent. They are always there to answer the emails with great advice so we know we are going in the right direction. They have even been to meetings in school with my husband and I to help us get the things she needs in school. Has a family we would definitely recommend ias to other families.
IAS have helped us on numerous occasions with a variety of issues we have experienced over the years with our son. And I don’t believe that they receive the recognition they deserve
The service I received on multiple occasions over the past couple of years has been fantastic and the service helped me get an ehcp for my son and they have continued to help us battle through the challenges set by the school
The service and support me and my son have received has been fantastic. My sons school has not been interested in helping him since he started secondary, but more so these last 6 months in very difficult circumstances. IAS has been a major support in meetings and getting my point of view over when the school haven't wanted to listen to me. And the support myself and my son will continue to get is very much appreciated.
IAS has been a lifeline to us, they have empowered me as a parent to question the actions of a school setting and ensure the relevant support is in place for my little girl. Without IAS my little girl would not have received the support she needed to prevent learning barriers and I would not have had the knowledge and information to have the confidence to approach a school setting. I am so thankful for everything IAS do and we would be lost without them.
Very efficient, professional, had the right knowledge, empathised with the situation and offered guidance with the process of applications not just making suggestions. Thank you so much.
I cannot thank all the staff at IAS for your ongoing help and support. I first contacted IAS back in 2023 and was given excellent information about how I should need to handle a situation I needed advice with. Since then, Cheryl has been so supportive and has been there for me every step of the way with supporting my son in school. I cannot thank Cheryl enough for how she has helped (and is continuing to do so) through some very tough times. She knows exactly what to say and how to help both our family and school - without her we wouldn't be in the position we are now. I am hoping this year that my son receives the support he needs and deserves and I know that, every step of the way, that I have someone holding my hand having Cheryl and the rest of the team working alongside me. I honestly do not know what I would do if I didn't have them to help me - both with information and also emotionally. It has been a tough ride so far and they have done everything they can to be as helpful as possible - even offering to be in meetings virtually when they are on annual leave. It means so much to have them to speak to. I know if they have made this much difference to me they will be doing the same for other children and their families who need their support.
The lady who I spoke to in the phone (I think she was called Kirsty) showed great understanding and kindness for my situation. She emailed the right documents over and made sure I had all the information I needed. Very thankful.
Thanks to you we just don't feel alone with what we are dealing with.
Kirsty Walsh was extremely polite and professional, she quickly pointed me in the right direction of support for my daughter. I was emailed immediately with resources and packages to help me apply for support and I was booked on a parent information evening. This was amazing I learnt so much. Thank you.
Ias have helped me & my family so much I honestly don't know what I would do without them
Great advice n help
Mike hurt was a fantastic help, kind, patient, and supportive, I wouldn’t have been given any support going forward after a very difficult time. Without this service I can honestly say I would have been lost. This team is very important for struggling families.
Sometimes as carers we need to speak to someone who is up to date and the gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable and informative
I found this service to be a great help to families and friendly and very knowledgeable thank you.
I’m am very happy with the support and advice given.
